I’m not entirely sure what you mean - the Alternate Reality Game (ARG) was to create a world for the album to be set in, and so in a sense was all promotion, but it also helped make the context of the album make far more sense. If that didn’t answer your question, rephrase it and I’ll try to answer it better!
